Little snowman

by André Gautier
(Lyon France)

Little snow man

An all seeing blanket sleeping amongst the trees

Immaculate and white as far as eye can see

Waiting for the children and all their joy and glee,

Lies a silent snowman, looking down at his knee

Falling from the branches, and slowly breaking free

Hundred of little tears, for a final decree

He wants to see the spring, the colour of the tree

He wants to feel the heat, the sun he dies to see
